West Coast Glaciers

 

View from above the might of the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers where precipitation 0f  5000+ mm per year dumps so much snow on the mountains that the icefalls on the glaciers continue to advance as rapidly as 5-6m a day. View also the dense rain forest which covers much of the land between the mountains and the sea.
